Supermac Spectrum/8*24 PDQ
(Manf. Part # G0930)

Description:
The Spectrum/8* 24 PDQ is a high-resolution, high-performance accelerated graphics card for the Apple Macintosh II family of computers. It offers graphics acceleration in 8-bit and 24-bit operation. When used in the 24-bit configuration on screens up to 640x480 pixels, the card gives you a palette of up to 16.8 million colors. The card can be configured to operate in millions of colors, thousands of colors, 256 colors, 16 colors, 4 colors, or in black and white. The 24-bit setting can be used with 12 inch or 13 inch displays, the 16-bit setting can be used on 16'' displays, and the 8 bit and lower settings can be used on large displays (up to 21 inches).

Features:
* Acceleration - Offers onboard graphics acceleration in both 24-bit and 8-bit color modes.
* Virtual Desktop - A virtual desktop can be created, simulating a desktop much larger than the monitor itself. The virtual desktop area can be set to a variety of sizes - up to 4096x1536 pixels, depending on how many shades of color or gray are displayed.
* Panning - allows you to quickly maneuver around the Virtual Desktop. Since the Virtual Desktop information is implemented in hardware, the response is extremely fast when you pan around the display.
* Zooming - allows magnification of the displayed image by 200 percent to view details. Like the panning feature, zooming is implemented in the card's memory and is therefore extremely fast. While zoomed in, users can type text, work with graphics tools, and perform all other normal Macintosh operations.
* Included Software - The software on the SuperMac Graphics Software disk allows the use of all the card's features. The SuperVideo Control Panel allows users to easily locate a lost cursor or hand-reposition the Virtual Desktop. SuperVideo also allows control over the location of dialog boxes that would normally appear in a fixed place, and control other useful utilities.
