There are several mailing lists of related to digital video. Below is a description of each list, with instruction concerning how to subscribe.
A discussion among users of Radius EditDV. Now available in a daily digest version.
Allows you to receive notifications about the latest breakthroughs in Radius DV technology.
Devoted solely to the discussion of digital video, for video production and multimedia. Lots of good info, and people; popular with amateurs.
This list is comprised of many seasoned television and video professionals, so topics range from Digital Betacam to Betacam SP to 1" and various digital formats, along with non-linear editing, analog A/B roll editing, lighting discussions, broadcast and industrial production ranging from making TV commercials, documentaries, corporate presentations and special interest videos plus much more. The Web site, http://www.vidpro.org, is pretty elaborate and contains useful articles and other content.
DV-L is an open discussion list devoted to DV (also known as DVC, DVCAM, DVCPRO etc.) and Firewire (also known as IEEE1394). Topics discussed in this list include tips, techniques, reviews, general information, announcements of events and sometimes heated debate.

This is a great list if you're a QuickTime developer (not so much a content developer as an application developer). You can really get into the guts of QuickTime and QuickTime programming. This list is monitored by folks from the QuickTime team, and moderated by a helpful developer technical support guy. If you want to see what is is to be a part of the QuickTime development community, this is the place.
This is a Data Translations Media100 User's Group, but much of the information on it concerns techniques for editing, effects and even camera work that are applicable no matter what digital video solution is being used.
