ScreenPlay Product Update Notice VideoSpigotª from SuperMacª now includes ScreenPlayª version 1.2.2, an upgraded version of our video capture and playback software. Use ScreenPlay 1.2.2 with System 7.1, QuickTime 1.6.1, and Sound Manager 3.0 for the best possible VideoSpigot performance. Macintosh Compatibility ScreenPlay 1.2.2 supports the following Macintosh¨ computers: ¥Macintosh LC ¥Macintosh LCII ¥Macintosh LCIII ¥Macintosh LC 475 ¥Macintosh Color Classic ¥Macintosh LC520 ¥Macintosh Quadra 605 ¥Macintosh IIsi ¥Performa 400 ¥Performa 475 ¥All Macintosh computers with full-size NuBus expansion slots, except the Quadraª 840AV QuickTime Install QuickTime 1.6.1 from the VideoSpigot software disk. (See the VideoSpigot User's Manual for software installation instructions.) If you have an older version of QuickTime installed on your Macintosh, drag it out of the Extensions folder within your System Folder and into the trash before you install the new version. Faster Video Captures ScreenPlay 1.2.2 improves the speed at which your VideoSpigot card and your Macintosh can capture and write video to your hard disk. The actual performance improvement will vary depending on the type of Macintosh you use. Color Settings ScreenPlay 1.2.2 lets you adjust the colors in your video image. To do this: 1. Choose Settings from the Spigot menu. The Settings dialog box appears. (This replaces the Color dialog box described in the VideoSpigot User's Manual.) 2. Drag the Hue slider to adjust the tint (for example, the amount of red rather than green) in your image. 3. Drag the Saturation slider to adjust the saturation of the colors in your image. Built-In Sound Playthrough ScreenPlay also lets you play sound with your video when you use Macintosh built-in sound. To do this: 1. Choose Preferences from the Spigot menu. The Preferences dialog box appears. 2. Select Built-in from the pop-up menu under Sound Source. (If you choose another source, you cannot enable the sound playthrough feature.) 3. Click to check the Enable Sound Playthrough checkbox under Options. 4. Click OK to close the Preferences dialog box. 5. Choose Settings from the Spigot Menu. The Settings dialog box appears. 6. Drag the Built-in Playthrough Volume slider to a comfortable level. 7. Click OK to close the Settings dialog box. To turn off Built-in Sound Playthrough: 1. Choose Preferences from the Spigot menu. The Preferences dialog box appears. 2. Click to uncheck the Enable Sound Playthrough checkbox under Options. The Built-in Playthrough Volume slider automatically returns to the "off" position at the left of the slider bar. The slider will stay in that position until you check Enable Sound Playthrough again. 3. Click OK to close the Preferences dialog box.
