Running a computer without hard disk has its charms. Instead
of putting all your stuff on one single hard disk, you 'll end
up using several floppy's with a dedicated use. Instead of a folder
on your hard disk called 'letters' or 'administration' or 'drawings',
you'll be using floppies with these names.
So, when you need have finished working on a letter and want to
do some drawing, you won't go to the 'drawing' folder, but instead
you'll eject the 'letters' floppy and insert the 'drawings' floppy.
Handling documents this way gives you the feeling that you have
more control over your computer, like having a closer relationship
with the computer and the work you do on it. It is a feeling that
is hard to describe, it is something you must experience for yourself.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you can hold your
docs in a small disk in your own hand, instead of them being stored
on a hard disk hidden inside a computer.
