Press up on these tabs and pull away from the chassis
The front cover is on tight and using a flat head screw driver to pry at the connection points helps alleviate the pressure

["I had occasion to take apart my 6400 and I noticed that in the method described on your website, the side clips for the front cover are not released before force is applied. I took a good look at the cover and noted that if you push in on the center, the side edges spread apart due to the curvature of the cover. In practice this means you release the bottom latches, then push in on the center of the cover while pulling out on the edges - something like shuffling a desk of cards - the cover practically falls off. The same method helps even more with the front small cover."]
now continue pulling out the front cover
You can now remove:
continue removing covers for Upper Bay drive. It removes in the same manner as the lower cover but is on much tighter.
both covers removed
to take off the top cover you must first remove this screw from the rear.
now push the cover towards the back about 1 inch and then lift up in the front
reinstall in reverse order
